We are continuing our journey of expanding and diversifying our business andweare seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the operational activities of our location in Naas, Co. Kildare.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, optimising processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight: Provide leadership and direction to the operations teams in both locations.
Develop and implement operational strategies to meet business objectives and targets.
Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Process Optimisation: Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Implement best practices and standards to ensure consistency and quality in operations.
Identify opportunities for automation and technology adoption to improve operational effectiveness.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise stockouts.
Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Implement inventory management systems and procedures to enhance stock accuracy and efficiency.
Team Management: Help recruit, train, and develop operations staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
Provide coaching and guidance to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Promote collaboration and teamwork across departments to achieve operational objectives.
Sales Management:Collaborate with the Internal Sales Team/Administrators to enhance customer satisfaction, and optimising sales processes to provide first class service.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all operational activities.
Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for employees.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address potential risks and hazards.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field.
Desirable but not essential.
Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably in the wholesale or distribution industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Sound knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
Experience with implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence initiatives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with inventory management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Location: This position is based in Naas Co. Kildare.
