It Manager

Ergo are seeking an IT Manager for a permanent role with our client in Galway.
As IT Manager you will own the IT Infrastructure and Cloud services with hands-on experience implementing projects in Azure, Security and VDI solutions.
You will manage a small but experienced team while overseeing an on-prem cloud migration supported by Ergo.
Post-migration you will be responsible for the delivery of efficient technical support and any ongoing IT Project implementation.
The successful candidate will have previous experience managing vendors and cloud-based environments and supporting users on the Microsoft 365 stack.
What will you do? Mentor and lead the helpdesk teamDelivery of strategically important IT projectsProvide ongoing support to staff re hardware, software, network access, securityPlan and manage purchasing of hardware and licensesPlan and manage upgrade of IT systems.Report on IT projects with clear objectives.Research and benchmark best practice of IT systems as appropriate in line with business strategy and goalsProvide reports to relevant Senior Management on upgrades implemented, hardware and software in use etcProvide reports to the Finance Team on estimated costs of IT infrastructure improvements, licensing, equipment etc.Create documentation for the efficient management of ICT servicesCarry out (or supervise) in-office changes and upgradesOptimise software and equipment in line with business needs and strategy.Keep up to date with trends and developments in IT for professional services and share information with relevant stakeholders.You should have the following experience: 5+ years' in a similar role (IT Manager, IT Operations Manager, Cloud Architect, Technical Consultant)VDI SolutionsIT management and policiesCost and budget managementVendor and Asset managementHelpdesk supervisionIncident and problem managementIT Security management and best practiceBusiness process controls and internal auditDisaster recovery planningPeople management and communications (leadership)
