Business Sector:          Central   Job Title:                           IT Manager                                           JOB PURPOSE:             Oversee and ensure the efficient operation of the company's IT infrastructure, implementation of new IT systems and policies, and drive towards continuous improvement and innovation within the organisation.
  REPORTING TO:            CFO   LOCATION:                    Nenagh, Co. Tipperary RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:   Devise, establish and maintain IT strategy, policies, and systems to support the organisation.
Control IT budget and report on expenditure.
Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and implement accordingly.
Ensuring  all  types of technology queries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve hardware and software problems, across the business related to servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices for all employees.
Support employees in their use of technology for business purposes.
Ensure all work is logged in the service desk system, actioned, progressed, and documented with relevant details and solutions within agreed SLAs.
Provide and assist in training initiatives that support staff in the use of IT systems.
Design and deliver IT Induction for new employees.
Lead various IT projects across the Group.
Maintain and update IT risk register as required.
Build relationships with vendors and maintain cost efficient contracts.
    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
At least 3 to 4 years' experience in progressive IT environment.
Excellent organisation skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ownership and flexibility.


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
