IT Support Engineer | Part-time Position | 4 Day week is required with an Electrical Production & Manufacturing facility based in Ballybrit, Galway. The IT Support Engineer will collaborate with IT Personnel at all levels up to European IT Director on day-to-day activities associated with supporting our Ireland IT infrastructure and first-level resolution of all issues related to Information Technology, as well as second-level Hardware, Software, Servers, and Network equipment in Ireland. The IT Engineer will ensure systems, tools, applications, and connectivity solutions are effectively rolled out and maintained within IT protocols and procedures for consistency and increased productivity. Support project-based IT systems and functionality upgrades/transitions to new architecture and platform efficiencies where appropriate.
Overview of Main Responsibilities: Coordinate and collaborate with business on day-to-day IT support center activities that improve first call resolution, build strong internal relationships, and exceed response time to our customers.Provide support on site and remotely to internal customers.Prioritize tickets.Leverage licenses, subscriptions, and installations in accordance with company guidelines.Maintain support center procedures for consistency and increased productivity.Align with regional and local laws and regulations (e.g., Data Privacy).Align with global and regional IT, Cyber Security, and Company policies (e.g., Ethics, Compliance).The ideal IT Support Engineer would have: 3 years of proven IT experience.2 years Help Desk or PC support experience.Experience installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems: 10/11 and next releases.Basic experience and understanding of MS Office 365, particularly troubleshooting Outlook and Teams.Solid understanding and proven troubleshooting skills in the areas of Microsoft Active Directory.Experience with PC Imaging Processes and applying PC software standards.For a confidential discussion and more information on the role, please contact Emma Daly: 0861041202 ******
