Job description Role: Java DeveloperLocation: 3 weeks fully remote and 1 week required in Galway per monthRole Focus: 70% Backend, 30% FrontendDuration: 8 - 12 monthsRate: €360 - 390 per day Role Description:My client is looking for a skilled Java Developer to contribute to the development of distributed, single-page, and transaction-based applications.
You will work within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with other teams and stakeholders.As Java Developer you will be responsible for the development and support of both internal and external systems, collaborating on technology projects with various divisions, customers, and clients.Skills and Experience:Java (v8+): Experience with newer versions preferred, as we are transitioning to v17.Spring Framework: Proficient in Spring Core and Spring Boot.DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Kafka, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.Preferred Experience: UI development with Angular and AWS experienceStrong Java/J2EE skills, particularly in enterprise-level applications.Expert knowledge of Spring MVC, Boot, and Security.Experience in building frameworks for transactional and data processing applications.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.Proficient in Agile methodologies like SCRUM, Extreme Programming, and TDD.Excellent communication skills for engaging with team members.Experience with CI/CD and DevOps in an Agile setup.Familiarity with onshore-offshore development models.Strong Oracle database skills, including writing Stored Procedures, Complex Queries, and Triggers.Understanding of Microservices Architecture, APIs, JAX-RS, and REST/JSON.
