What does Department 122 do?
Unit 122 deals with the topics of net neutrality, international roaming and intra-EU communication as well as artificial intelligence.
Net neutrality We ensure that the TSM Regulation on net neutrality is safeguarded, assess business and tariff models and conduct administrative proceedings and fine proceedings under the Telecommunications Act.
International roaming and intra-EU communication We ensure compliance with the requirements of the Roaming Regulation and intra-EU communication.
Artificial intelligence We examine the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) for providers in the network sectors and its application to platforms.
What are your tasks?
You will work on questions relating to artificial intelligence, in particular you will analyze the mode of action of AI, develop and work on questions of regulatory law relevant to AI applications and investigate and evaluate aspects of the regulatory compliance of algorithms You design guidelines and guidelines for the use of AI systems You are the contact person for companies, trade associations, civil society and political decision-makers and cooperate with them, especially with regard to assessing the risks that individual AI systems can pose You regularly support ministries, authorities at federal and state level and work together with the EU Commission Who are we looking for?
You have completed or are about to complete a Master's degree with 300 ECTS credits or a (university) diploma in computer science, legal informatics, business informatics or a comparable field of study You have knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence Ideally, you already have experience of working in international organizations or committees Ideally, you already have knowledge of EU law and experience with administrative procedures You have good comprehension skills, the ability to think abstractly and a high level of motivation You have a confident and engaging manner You are a committed, reliable and flexible personality who works independently and results-oriented even under time pressure in difficult situations You have good planning, assertiveness and organizational skills as well as good analytical and negotiating skills You are open-minded and cooperative in a team, have experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and have strong and proven people skills You have good written and verbal communication skills and very good English language skills You are willing to undertake business trips What do we offer?
