Professional work in an exciting and modern environment: Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf Medical Services GmbH (UKM) is one of four wholly-owned subsidiaries of the University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD), the largest hospital in Düsseldorf.
We are responsible for key areas of the UKD's day-to-day operations and guarantee optimum care for the hospital's secondary processes.
This includes the areas of project management, construction and technology, UKM IT, laundry, central sterile supply, security, logistics, archive and much more.
UKM also supports the hospital's IT infrastructure with a wide range of IT services.
We would like to strengthen our team in the area of UKM IT in the long term and are looking for a IT - Data Engineer / Medical Informatics Specialist / Bioinformatician (m/f/d) If you enjoy the following tasks....
Participation in the development of a data integration center with the aim of providing standardized clinical data for medical research to improve patient treatment and care Data extraction from primary clinical systems, design, implementation and monitoring of ETL processes Integration of heterogeneous data, data harmonization, semantic data annotations, adoption of standard terminologies Development of a sustainable IT infrastructure and design and establishment of efficient processes for data management and you bring the following with you....
Completed university degree (Master / Diploma) in the field of medicine / bio / computer science or a comparable qualification for the above-mentioned area of responsibility Sound knowledge of Linux (RedHat) and containerization as well as in the processing and management of sensitive data in compliance with the highest security standards Practical experience with Docker / Podman, REST APIs and ETL programs as well as with building data processing pipelines and harmonizing heterogeneous data Proficiency in current programming / scripting / query languages (e.g.
Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL) and shell scripting (Bash) Experience in the structured storage of large amounts of data (SQL/noSQL DBs, DBMS, data warehousing) Initial knowledge of terminologies such as LOINC, SNOMED-CT, interface standards such as HL7, FHIR, XML, DICOM and experience with medical information systems such as HIS, PACS and LIS Very good German and English language skills, combined with experience in working with multidisciplinary teams Independent and structured working style, paired with a confident, competent and friendly demeanor Ability to work on complex problems in a goal- and solution-oriented manner .... then we definitely want to get to know you!
