BAFzA, Fabian Stürtz Who we are: The Federal Office of Family Affairs and Civil Society Functions, or BAFzA for short, is a guide to social coexistence in our country with its tasks and topics.

Who we are looking for: As part of a project to prepare for future tasks at the BAFzA, we are looking for a member of the "IT Operations" department for the "Operations Administration" work area as soon as possible.
IT system administrator IT application administrator Depending on your qualifications, you will be graded up to pay group 11 of the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD Bund approx.
EUR 3,895 to approx.
EUR 5,975).
The step allocation is determined individually depending on the professional experience available.
In addition, an IT specialist allowance of up to EUR 1,000 gross per month can be granted if you have the relevant professional experience and meet the requirements.
The employment relationship is initially limited until 30.06.2026.
A permanent position is intended.
What tasks you will take on: You will be responsible for the installation, administration and troubleshooting of various web and application servers based on Apache, IIS, Tomcat and Wildfly as well as other applications based on Windows servers.
You carry out troubleshooting in the area of 2nd and 3rd level support.
What you bring with you: You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a comparable degree or equivalent qualification.
Alternatively, you have several years of proven, equivalent skills and experience in the relevant job profile.
You have very good knowledge of server administration under Windows servers, including PowerShell programming.
You have good knowledge in the administration of web/application servers (e.g.
Apache, Tomcat, Wildfly, IIS) and client-server applications.
You have basic knowledge of connecting an Active Directory for the authentication of various applications.
You can communicate in written and spoken English with manufacturers and external support You have a committed and independent way of working and find it easy to familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility.
You think conceptually and analytically You have a strong service orientation and team-oriented communication skills, especially when communicating in interdisciplinary teams.
If you have obtained a foreign university degree, please enclose proof of recognition of the degree by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) with your application documents.
You are willing to undergo a security check in accordance with the Federal Security Check Act (SÜG).
