Job Description Because of demand and growth within the Application team we are looking for an Application Manager .
As a successful candidate you will manage a team of Application Analysts and be responsible for the delivery of internal operations and support and in doing so you will work with vendors and be part of an internal team managing a portfolio of in-house/vendor applications.
You will play a crucial role of linking our teams and the IT solutions group.
You Will: Providing Level 2 technical assistance and issue resolution for end-users working with MUFG In-house and vendor based financial applications and services.
Managing and resolving reported incidents, investigating root causes, and escalating issues as needed to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
Conducting training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding of financial systems and creating comprehensive documentation for various processes and procedures.
Regularly monitoring the health and performance of financial applications to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data processed by the financial systems, performing data validation checks, and resolving discrepancies.
Facilitating data integration between different financial systems and ensuring seamless data exchange to support various business processes.
Implementing and maintaining security measures and adherence to compliance standards to protect sensitive financial data.
Interacting with vendors of financial systems to address technical issues, coordinate enhancements, and manage support agreements.
Participating in testing activities to validate system changes, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring they meet quality standards before production deployment.
Assisting in the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure system availability during unexpected events.
#LI-Hybrid Qualifications You Have: 5+ years in a team responsible for providing analytical support and administration of business applications.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with financial systems such as Investran, Sentry, Anaplan, Sungard DX, Yardi, Client Portals Skill in validating and ensuring the accuracy of financial data processed by applications.
Familiarity with financial regulations and standards applicable to the financial services industry.
Understanding of testing processes to ensure application changes are thoroughly validated.
An understanding of Application/Database infrastructure setup and management.
Ability to deliver effective and engaging training sessions for end-users to enhance their proficiency with financial applications.
Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholder and vendors for support and issue resolution.
Preferred: Knowledge of System Development Lifecycle and standard software development methodologies including ITIL standards An understanding of Microsoft Windows Server environments, Microsoft IIS, Apache Tomcat, SQL Server and AWS.
SQL Server Reporting Services development experience will be an advantage.
Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles to ensure application availability during unexpected events.
