Junior Design Engineer | Killanny, Co. Louth | A91 DY95 Full Time | Mon-Thurs (8am-5pm) to Fri (8am-2pm) €30,000 - €35,000 | On-site parking For over 40 years, our client has been a trusted name in grain milling.
Established in 1980 in Killanny, Co. Louth, specialising in manufacturing top-quality grain processing equipment tailored to the needs of farmers, contractors, and feed compounders.
With decades of expertise, their mills are renowned for their precision, durability and innovation, supporting the agricultural industry with reliable solutions that stand the test of time.
They are expanding their team and are seeking a Junior Design Engineer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Design Engineer eager to advance your career, or a Technician ready to take the next step into a dynamic engineering role within the agricultural machinery sector.
You will work closely with and report directly to the Senior Design Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in a highly supportive environment.

A third-level degree is required.
Are you the right person for the job?
Third level degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 1-3 years of Engineering experience desired Proficient with Solid Edge or Solid Works drawing software Proficient in reading & understanding technical drawings and specifications Proficient using all aspects of Microsoft Office Graphic design experience, desirable Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interpret and communicate data accurately Must be reliable, motivated and have an excellent work ethic Ability to work as part of a team What will your role look like?
Design, develop or improve solutions for new and existing customers Support sales activities for key customers with technical calls and visits as and when required Prepare drawings for plasma cutting and press brake operations Check and update production documentation as required Liaise with Senior Designer and Production on design improvements Provide technical support to customers/distributors and suppliers Remote working not available What's next?
