As a Junior Estimator, you'll play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, assisting in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for upcoming projects. You'll work closely with their experienced estimators, learning from their expertise while contributing your unique insights and ideas. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of civil engineering and construction.
What You'll Do: Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand project requirements.Research material and labor costs, subcontractor quotes, and other relevant data to ensure accuracy in estimates.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and address any concerns or questions.Maintain organized records of estimates, including supporting documentation and historical data for future reference.Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and optimization in the estimating process.What You'll Bring: A degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other estimating software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.Enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.Prior experience or coursework in estimating, construction, or engineering is a plus but not required.Why Join: Opportunity for professional growth and development in a supportive and collaborative environment.Competitive compensation package with benefits, including health insurance and retirement savings plans.Exciting projects and diverse opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the field of civil engineering.A culture that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork, where your contributions are recognized and appreciated.Interviews have already commenced so do not hesitate to apply.
