Junior Facilities Technician Location: County Limerick, Ireland Our client, a leading facilities management provider, is seeking a General Operative to join their dedicated team in County Limerick. Key Responsibilities: Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out scheduled maintenance on all building fabric under the control of the company as per the Plant CMMS/CAFM system. Assist the engineering team with PPM on building equipment.Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that contractors and staff comply with Health & Safety (H&S) regulations. Manage and create documentation for Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).Inspections & Monitoring: Conduct property and facility-related inspections. Monitor subcontractors and services, ensuring compliance with H&S and quality standards.Customer Service & Queries: Liaise with the service desk and team leads to respond promptly to non-technical queries, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA).Reactive Maintenance & Repairs: Respond to reactive tasks, including repairs to building fabric such as painting, decorating, door furniture, and office furniture. Assist with the movement of plant and equipment as required.Daily Site Checks: Carry out daily checks on site as per client requirements and report any findings to the contract manager.Subcontractor Support: Assist subcontractors with tasks including signing in, managing work permits, and showing them to the relevant work areas.Continuous Improvement: Maintain and promote best practices while encouraging continuous improvement within the team.Problem Solving & Issue Tracking: Track and resolve all facility requests in line with SLAs, providing regular feedback. Collaborate with department engineers and support teams to identify and solve issues.Project Assistance: Support with quotations and purchasing queries, as well as taking on ad-hoc projects assigned by the client or team lead.Qualifications and Experience: Previous Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a facilities or building maintenance environment.Mechanical Knowledge: Experience with the mechanical aspects of building services is a distinct advantage.Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently using initiative and problem-solving skills.Customer-Focused: Excellent customer service skills with a focus on responsiveness and satisfaction.Strong Communication: Clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams.Ownership & Accountability: A proactive approach to taking ownership of key tasks and responsibilities as required.Apply Today!
