Junior Health And Safety Advisor

Barna Recycling, Connacht's leading waste provider, are recruiting for a junior Health and Safety advisor to join our team.
As a junior Health and Safety Advisor you will work as part of the Health and Safety team to assist in maintaining a high standard of safety across all sites in Connacht.
Duties and Responsibilities Support the health and safety manager in ensuring health and safety compliance.
Assist in the development of specific health and safety procedures.
Assist in carrying out safety audits, risk assessments, method statements and accident reporting etc.
Keep up to date on all matters regarding Health and Safety legislation and guidance.
Foster a high standard and approach to health and safety compliance across all sites.
Conduct Health and Safety Induction for all new hires across all sites.
        Assisting with overseeing hazardous and non-hazardous waste procedures Requirements          1 years' experience in a similar role         Strong Administration and IT skills         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills         Waste Management and recycling experience is a distinct advantage.
        Must be able to work as part of a team but equally be able to work on one's own initiative.
        Full driving licence essential         Day travel to other sites may be required.
Terms         37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
        Full Training provided.
        Salary Negotiable
