General Summary: We are looking for individuals with programming experience focused on interacting with databases, Rest APIs, and automation frameworks.
We seek a driven individual excited to deep dive into operational processes and design automations to improve efficiencies and enable automated self-service services.
A well-organized self-starter who can create automation workflows using tools such as PowerBi, PowerPoint, and Visio is preferred.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable self-service automation pipelines and services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems) OR a bachelor's degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing) with 1+ year of IT-relevant experience OR a High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of IT-relevant experience.2+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with programming (e.g., Java, Python, etc.
).1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.Requirements: This is an on-premise position.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.1-2 years of proven experience as a software developer.Solid experience with programming languages like Python or JavaScript.Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL).In-depth knowledge and practical experience of Rest APIs.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Willingness to work in other time zones for project collaboration.Ability to communicate and provide training for teammates on technologies that you have expertise in.Understanding of Operating Systems such as Linux and Windows.Understanding of Git Version Control.Familiarity with Enterprise Storage platforms.Presentation skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.Solid communication/presentation skills, comfortable presenting to all levels of management and engineering teams.Drives technical conversations to ensure the right path is followed to project completion.Collaborates with business partners to identify system solutions or other complex technical information.Networks with colleagues across the organization to gain insights, ideas, and connections.Optional Qualifications: Frontend Development:Knowledge in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).Experience in building APIs for applications being developed.Automation Pipeline Development:Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Jenkins and Groovy.Software deployment via Kubernetes and Docker.AI/ML Development:Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).Familiarity with AI concepts and tools (e.g., NLP, computer vision, deep learning).Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.Knowledge of data engineering and big data technologies.Where you will be working: Cork has a proud reputation as Ireland's second largest economic engine and is now one of the Top 20 location choices in Europe with 39,000 people employed by over 170 overseas companies.
