Abrivia are recruiting on behalf of their client, a financial service organisation in Dublin. Our client requires a talented Junior Legal Counsel to join their dynamic in-house Legal Team, reporting directly to the Head of Legal. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role within a highly regulated financial services environment. The successful candidate will work across various legal areas, from regulatory compliance to fund documentation and product approvals, providing essential legal guidance and support.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor, interpret, and implement new legislation and regulatory requirements impacting the firm and its managed funds (including UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, EMIR, SFDR, CP86, and Outsourcing Requirements).Complete applications for new sub-funds, manage post-authorisation amendments with regulators and internal/external stakeholders, assisting in product development from concept through approval.Draft and update key documentation, including the Prospectus, Supplements, KIIDs, and Business Plan for investment funds under management.Draft and review commercial agreements impacting both the management company and the funds under management, such as Investment Management Agreements, advisory and licensing agreements.Review fund-related transactional documents, including ISDA Agreements, transaction confirmations, and amendment agreements.Provide practical, business-focused legal advice, as well as internal governance requirements.Participate in regulatory and business-related projects as needed.Assist with the preparation and organization of quarterly board and product committee meetings in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the Company Secretary.Represent the company at industry conferences, external meetings, and fund association events.Key Requirements: Qualified solicitor in Ireland, with 3+ years PQE, particularly within the investment funds sector.Strong background in investment funds, with expertise in fund documentation and an understanding of investment strategies.Motivated, solutions-oriented, with the ability to perform detailed legal analyses and deliver concise, practical legal advice.Demonstrated commitment to high standards, with meticulous attention to detail and robust communication skills (both written and oral).Ability to prioritise work, manage a large volume of tasks, and meet tight deadlines.Team-oriented, willing to assist colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative work environment.Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Job Information Job Reference: BBBH13518_1731087022
