Are you a Junior Quantity Surveyor with an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in quantity surveying or construction economics?Are you interested in kick starting your career within the civil engineering construction sector with one of Ireland's leading civils contractors who work on water/wastewater infrastructure, concrete works, bridge/roads, site infrastructure, services, and structures?We have immediate requirements Jnr QS's for projects based in Munster.Roles are based in Cork with a mix of office and site visitsJunior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Contractor - CorkEmployerOur client has over 40 years experience in the Design & Build of Water & Infrastructure projects in Ireland & the UK.Provision of procurement advicePreparation of cost estimatesUndertaking Project QS role on small to medium sized projectsContract administration and post-contract roleVisiting sites and attending meetingsLiaison with the design team, client, local approving authorities, contractors and other third parties as requiredShort-term travel as requiredMaintaining quality standardsRequirementDegree in Quantity SurveyingThe suitable candidate will be enthusiastic and flexible and will possess:Excellent report writing and communication skills Working knowledge of MS Office products and construction industry estimating softwareFamiliarity with contracts (NEC, Public Works Contracts, FIDIC) and will be Commercially astute with strong numerical skills, demonstrating an attention to detailPackage€40K-€55K depending on level of experience and negotiable for the right candidate.Permanent staff role with an excellent career path
