In this role, you will assist in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring budgets are adhered to and costs are controlled.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience to develop their career in quantity surveying within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:  Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Measurement and Valuation: Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) based on project drawings and specifications.
Cost Monitoring and Reporting: Track project costs and provide regular updates to senior staff and project teams.
Tendering and Procurement: Support the preparation of tender documents and assist in the procurement process by evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Contract Administration: Assist in managing contracts, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, measure completed works, and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
Risk Management: Identify and report on cost-related risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.
Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of all financial aspects of the project, including invoices, valuations, and change orders.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications, Key Skills & Competencies A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Previous experience or internship in a construction or quantity surveying role.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
Willingness to travel to various construction sites.
