Junior Relationship Manager

The primary role of the Global Corporate Clients (GCC) division globally is to ensure global excellence in the commercial coverage and relationship management of the international Food & Agriculture ("F&A") and Energy Transition ("ET") wholesale client base. In addition, GCC Europe holds ownership and responsibility for the delivery of GCC Products (Lending, Asset Backed Finance, Financial & Advisory Solutions, Capital Structuring, M&A, Hedging, Acquisition Financing and Commodity/Export Financing) and for cross selling the entire product suite of the bank to the same F&A and ET wholesale clients. The Coverage team is only responsible for Lending.
The ultimate objective is to increase income and profitability with our F&A and ET wholesale clients and prospects and expand the local F&A and ET client base in line with the required return hurdles. This shall be achieved by mobilizing our products, capitalising our Global F&A and ET sector knowledge and mobilising the bank around strategic events and clients.
The function operates in a dynamic environment in which pro-activity, flexibility, and discipline is required across all areas of relationship management and product cross sell, from prospecting to client management, to origination, pitching, structuring and execution to follow-up and monitoring.
The function interacts with a wide variety of internal stakeholders including Senior Management, Global Sector Heads, product heads and teams, local Credit Head and analysts and Risk.
The main tasks and responsibilities of the Junior Relationship Manager are to provide support to Coverage Bankers and Senior Coverage Bankers in all aspects of their role as client owners and/or senior transactors on a relatively independent basis. More specifically, the Junior Relationship Manager will be (pro)actively involved in managing a portfolio of client relationships, preparing for client meetings, development of pitch books, transaction structuring, drafting credit applications, obtaining credit and other approvals, portfolio monitoring and maintaining the Client Link CRM system.
Working Hours: The role has standard working hours. The role will be a Hybrid Working Role and will require attendance in the Rabobank Dublin offices a minimum of two days per week. However, there may be a requirement to attend the office more than twice per week especially during the training period.
Right to Work – Ireland: The candidate must have a Valid EU work permit or be a Holder of a Valid Stamp 4 Visa.
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities Main Tasks: The core duties of the role will be administrative, supporting the Coverage Bankers in the following: Supporting the Coverage Bankers and Senior Coverage Bankers with all client related matters including ClientLink (CRM tool), wallet sizing, covenant compliance, prospecting as well as other administration tasks.The Junior Relationship Manager will take ownership of analysing, assessing and reporting on the sustainability performance of the clients in our portfolio.Coordinate Know Your Customer ("KYC") responsibility for entire Irish corporate portfolio in conjunction with centralized London KYC team.Preparation of credit applications with Coverage Bankers and Senior Coverage Bankers.Executing internal approval generation, loan document negotiation, signing, closing & post-closing coordination, syndication support and deal team management.Relationship planning, prospecting, credit risk data management, pipeline & income management.Opportunity and idea generation & development, initial origination analysis and pitch book production.Drafting term sheets for Deal structuring (pricing, covenant setting, etc).Principally and in addition to working with clients on debt and related solutions, to act as a secondary coverage officer for a range of clients and prospects. This entails working on all aspects of the development of client relationships and involve frequent client interaction.Building and maintaining a network within Rabobank, external advisors and other banks:
