Our client, a well-established residential contractor, requires a Junior Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work on a large residential project in Limerick City.
This contractor has a large, long-term residential project in operation in the area which will offer job security and great progression opportunities for any potential candidates.
Job Description: The Junior Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out the site and dimensional controls in accordance with the relevant contract Drawings, Specification and Site Surveys. They are also tasked with reviewing construction outputs and planning the most efficient sequence of operations with an emphasis on control of the works, quality and technical advice. The Engineer will carry out their work in accordance with company standard procedures.
Responsibilities: Set out works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site surveys.Raise RFI's and resolve technical issues with employer's representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities.Liaise with company or project purchasing department to ensure that purchase orders adequately define the specified requirements.Input into specific elements of the Inspection and Test Plans, and ensure that our supply chain provides test data to back up the contract technical requirements.Set up drawing register and ensure that the Sub-contractor is using the latest version of the contract record drawings & specifications, whilst ensuring that they are technically coordinated.Qualifications and Skills: Candidate must have an engineering-related qualification.Candidate will ideally have 1 year of on-site experience.Articulate and numerate, capable of delivering reports verbally and in writing in an objective and persuasive manner.Can demonstrate initiative and resilience.Displays good interpersonal and communication skills and acts in an independent and professional manner.A strong remuneration and benefits package is on offer for the right candidate.
