Job Title: Junior Site Manager (Residential Project) Location: County Waterford, Ireland Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Site Manager to join our construction team for a residential project in County Waterford. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in site management within the residential construction sector. The successful candidate will assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision: Assist the Site Manager in daily site supervision, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Monitor and coordinate the work of subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers. Ensure that all work is carried out according to the project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Health & Safety: Enforce site safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all site personnel. Conduct regular site safety audits and inspections. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and report any issues or incidents to the Site Manager. Project Coordination: Assist in the scheduling and coordination of site activities to avoid delays and ensure efficient use of resources. Liaise with the Site Manager, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress. Assist in managing the procurement and timely delivery of materials and equipment. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, safety reports, and material deliveries. Assist in the preparation of progress reports for management and stakeholders. Document and report any site issues, including delays, safety concerns, and non-compliance. Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and material quality to ensure adherence to project standards. Assist in conducting inspections and testing to ensure work meets specified requirements. Address any quality issues under the guidance of the Site Manager. Qualifications and Skills: Education: A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Previous experience or internship in a construction-related role is an advantage but not essential. Knowledge of residential construction processes and methods. Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in construction. Basic IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and project management software. Personal Attributes: Proactive and eager to learn.
