Junior Transport Administrator

We are seeking a motivated Junior Transport Planner to join our team for a 6-month fixed term.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transport planning and logistics within a fast-paced environment.
Location: Carrigtwohill, Cork Contract: Fixed term, 6 months Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week) No weekends or bank holidays About the role: As a Junior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for creating and managing transport plans to ensure efficient and timely deliveries, while tracking shipments and resolving any issues that arise.
You will work closely with the logistics team and use transport software to improve efficiency and meet the companys transport needs.
Responsibilities Create transport plans to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
Track and oversee shipment progress, ensuring deliveries are on schedule.
Keep accurate records of all transport activities and generate regular reports.
Work with transport providers to negotiate rates and secure service agreements.
Ensure all transport operations comply with regulations and company standards.
Address and resolve any transport-related issues or delays as they arise.
Work with the logistics team to forecast transport needs and plan resources accordingly.
Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in IT systems (Outlook, Excel etc) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong Geographical knowledge of Cork County.
