We are hiring a Kitchen Assistant for a leading nursing home in Kildare, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of your designated work area, ensuring it's maintained and managed efficiently every day.
Empty all bins and dispose of waste properly, ensuring compliance with waste disposal protocols.
Follow the cleaning schedule and perform tasks as directed by the Head Chef to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
Maintain accurate records in line with the Food Hygiene Policy, documenting necessary checks and procedures.
Unpack and store deliveries appropriately, ensuring products are placed in the correct storage areas.
Adhere to food hygiene and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards at all times to ensure food safety.
Keep the food serving area and dining room clean, safe, and hygienic.
Clean and maintain KP (Kitchen Porter) machines, change water as needed, and ensure equipment is in good working condition daily.
Be reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment as part of a friendly and effective team.
Perform any other tasks as requested by management to support kitchen operations.
