Key Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee Food Production and Service:Manage and coordinate daily kitchen operations to maintain high-quality standards.
Step in as the leader on days when the Chef Manager is unavailable.Maintain Hygiene Standards:Ensure all operations meet the Food Safety Authority of Ireland guidelines and adhere to our Food Safety Management System.Lead and Train the Team:Provide on-the-job training and professional development for the kitchen team.
Collaborate with the Chef Manager to address team concerns effectively.Menu Planning:Work with the Chef Manager to plan and select menu options that delight and satisfy customers.Stock Management:Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed, especially during the Chef Manager's absence.Customer Service Excellence:Elevate the dining experience by improving food presentation and fostering positive interactions with customers.Compliance and Record Keeping:Liaise with suppliers and compliance bodies, manage aspects like pest control and FOG (fats, oils, and greases), and maintain records such as temperatures, cleaning schedules, and allergen lists.Kitchen Maintenance:Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, with daily hygiene checks and records.Additional Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for the kitchen team and other services within the organisation.Handle health and safety policies, promptly reporting maintenance issues when needed.Support catering for external events when required.Cover the Chef Manager's duties during leave periods, taking on both back-of-house and front-of-house responsibilities.
