Hours of work: Monday - Friday based onsite.
Duties of the lab manager include: Ensuring that the policies and procedures defined in the Quality System Manual are understood and implemented within the laboratory.
Ensuring all samples are tested to specific customer requirements.
The completion of the out of specification test certificate and the release of results.
Carrying out in-house calibrations of equipment.
Carrying out an internal audit programme.
Monitoring for improvement through internal/external audits and trending of internal/external proficiency results/Risk assessments.
In-put into ongoing trends within the factory, carrying out trials or validations of new processes and advising the technical department whenever necessary with regards to microbiological issues.
Requirements: A scientific qualification, ideally in microbiology.
5+ years micro lab experience.
Have audit participation experience.
