Lab Technician/Analyst- 6 Month Contract

We have partnered with one of Ireland's leading chemical manufacturers, Biocel, as they grow their team in Little Island, Cork. This is a 6 Month FTC initially.
The Lab Technician will be responsible for the chemical analysis of a wide range of raw / in-process samples and final products.
Overview of Main Responsibilities: Conduct analysis of company's products within a busy production facilityLab equipment calibrationDaily & weekly analyses of water & effluent streamsLogging and reporting of results for internal audit purposes and dissemination to customersAssisting with internal and external auditsTesting of finished products against specification prior to dispatch to customersTesting of other raw materials and batches including chemical food additives to specificationLiaising with production supervisors/manager on testing of samples, providing results and solutionsAssistance in ensuring production process is meeting quality requirementsWhat the ideal candidate looks like: Minimum level 6 qualification in a relevant disciplineIndustry lab experienceStrong ability to work independently yet also a great team workerExperience with ISO 9001 Quality Systems an advantageGood problem-solving skillsExperience in the chemical industry an advantageFor a confidential discussion and more information on the role, please contact Aisling Lane. ****** (021) 4320675
