Primary Function Responsible for liaising with appropriate lab management, Abbott Nutrition (AN) Division lab equipment and test method SMEs, site lab equipment SMEs and QA Validation. As part of the QA Laboratory Projects Team, you will: Manage and co-ordinate projects in line with assigned project schedule and timelines. Elevate to manager if schedule cannot be achieved. Attend the Laboratory Validation Review Board (VRB). Complete training in line with VRB in accordance with Validation Policies and Procedures. Responsible for reviewing all SOP's and test methods for any job task he/she may carry out and must ensure that he/she fully understands and adheres to the SOP/test method. Carry out validation, training, and handover of new Laboratory Equipment & Test Methods to the appropriate laboratory. Participate in plant projects, where required. Set up Purchase Orders following all the correct procedures. Work within assigned budgets and elevate to manager if project costs are going to exceed assigned budget. Coordinate all Validation activity, from design to installation and operational testing. Work collaboratively in order to overcome any obstacles. Responsible for the creation of validation packages. Complete validation / transfer of test methods where applicable. Ensure the correct waste disposal procedures are followed and adhered to. This Job function will change when GMP, EHS, Quality and Technical/New Equipment Procedures, SOP's and test methods are updated. This list of responsibilities may change depending on plant needs and employees are expected to be adaptable and flexible where this need arises. Participate in internal audits. Support all areas of QA as required. Support QA team with internal and external audits (including pre-audit preparation) surrounding the validation and laboratory processes. Major Responsibilities You will be part of a team that is responsible for laboratory projects relating to continuous improvement, business continuity and compliance. Work closely with the QA Laboratory Projects Manager and Team. Your role will include completion of necessary validation documentation and assist in the execution of validation activities. Activities include design, installation, qualification and validation of laboratory equipment, software and test methods within the Quality Assurance Department. Ability to communicate changes in project schedules to key stakeholders and project's team when required. Education & Experience You will have a Degree/Diploma or Cert in Food Science / Engineering or equivalent scientific discipline an advantage with a minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role or within a regulated environment.
