Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician in Aurivo Dairy Ingredients.
This position represents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to work within one of Irelands leading multi-disciplined Co-operatives. The successful candidate will be as part of a close-knit team reporting to the sites Quality Manager. Key Responsibilities Bulk and Retail Butter, Milk Powder and services analysis for compliance with Specification in the Microbiology Laboratory Assist in chemical testing in Chemical Laboratory as needed Ensure Regulatory compliance in Microbiology to GMP's regulatory agencies (e.g.
Department of Agriculture and BRC.)
Provide expertise to support functions on Microbiology related issues (e.g.
regulatory requirements, microbiological impact of product/process changes,) Co-ordinate testing to ensure a high Quality and Compliance awareness in the Laboratory Ensure compliance to all Laboratory and relevant plant wide procedures and practices Maintain Microbiology in a state of audit readiness and represent Microbiology in external audits Provide timely information to Production and operations Communicate & report results daily to the Quality Manager Support a work environment of continuous improvement and teamwork that supports Aurivo Dairy Ingredients Quality policy and Quality system Must be willing to work flexible hours on occasion Will be required to work one day of the weekend during the peak production period The ideal candidate will have: Qualification in Microbiology or related Food Science discipline.
Minimum of 2 years work experience with a GMP environment preferably within the Food Industry.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good leadership abilities.
Decision-making ability coupled with the ability to work on one's own initiative, and with the minimum of supervision is required.
