Laboratory Technician

TITLE:                          Laboratory Technician - Laboratories (Temporary 3-4-month contract)   BUSINESS UNIT:          Food Ingredients   FUNCTION:                   Perform testing in Intake and product Laboratories                                           REPORTING TO:          Quality Manager   LOCATION:                  Nenagh   PURPOSE: Testing of raw material, in-process, and finished products to ensure Food Safety and Quality.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:           Performing timely analytical testing in Intake Laboratory.
        Support of other laboratories if required.
        Ensuring that all documentation is completed correctly to the approved procedures.
        Identifying and highlighting any issues to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
Following through with issues to achieve a resolution.
        Comply with health and safety requirements.
  QUALIFICATION           Minimum  Diploma in Microbiology or equivalent discipline.
        Experience in a microbiology laboratory an advantage.
  KEY COMPETENCIES Proven ability in communication A high level of flexibility, motivation, and the ability to work on their own initiative.
Team-worker with strong interpersonal, communication skills and continuous improvement mind-set Computer literacy is essential.
A high level of English verbal and written fluency is required.
