Identifying and exploring new product concepts/features/experiences for the simulation gaming genre.
Playing a leading role in a cross-functional team to design and develop these from product front end to successful mass production in the far east.As a key member of the Logitech sim gaming team, the candidate is responsible for combining engineering expertise, testing and a relentless pursuit of creating the best products and experiences that are sold around the world.A strong knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical systems design is an advantage.Your Contribution:Be Yourself.

In this role you will:As a key member of the Cork Studio team, you will be responsible for ideating, exploring & prototyping mechanical & electromechanical solution concepts that transform user experiences.
Along with delivering mechanical product designs for sim gaming products, from the Product Front End through product development and into successful mass production in the Far East.You will also contribute to innovation and technology programs to enable simulation gaming product evolution.Job description:Development of user centric Simulation gaming products (Racing/Flight/Space) and participate in the development of User Experience (UX) research to develop customer focussed products.Develop product architectures and new technology conceptsMechanism designBuild mechanical/electro-mechanical proof of concepts to evaluate UX, function, manufacturability, and/or robustnessEnsure high quality robust design of complex mechanical systems and components using tools such as dFMEA, QFD and FEA simulation.Analyse data generated from pilot builds and lab experimentsWork with Industrial Designers, and product development teams to define and develop products from concept to Mass ProductionPerform tolerance analyses to verify performance of mechanisms and cosmetic specifications in the presence of high volume dimensional variationDetailed 3D design and 2D documentation of all parts and assembliesInteracting with vendors as well as internal Manufacturing, Supply Chain, NPI and Supplier Quality Engineering groups in the Far East to develop manufacturing processes, toolingDefine reliability testing requirements and equipmentDrive Innovation in the Sim gaming product category and continuous improvement/advancement of Engineering capabilitiesStrong knowledge and experience in rapid prototyping, functional lab testing of concepts and analysis of test data.Optimise designs for performance, quality and cost.Key Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/mechatronics/Electro -Mechanical Engineering (or similar)For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:6-8 years experience in mechanical development of high volume consumer electronic productsDetailed knowledge of plastics, metal, injection moulding and toolingStrong knowledge in Electro-Mechanical design and implementationFluent in Design/Development process and tools of high volume manufacturingFluent in Pro/Engineer or similar 3D CAD package including Advanced SurfacingStrong knowledge in ANSYS simulation softwareKnowledge & understanding of sensors/actuators Strong Hardware & Firmware debugging skillsHighly skilled in problem solving'Design Thinking' mindsetStrong Communication skills with experience in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.Also good at communicating up with senior team and managementSelf-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team Able to speak up and ownStrong Presentation skillsExperience in working with and prototyping electro-mechanical solutions is a strong advantageKeen interest in latest tech and computing trendsIn addition, preferable skills and behaviours include...A passion for the simulation gaming genreUnderstanding of motor electro-mechanical architectures and functionExperience of thermal analysis, heat transfer, thermal-fluid systemsExperience in python programmingExperience in C/C++ embedded programming and embedded systems interfaces Video and/or photo editingLogitech is the Sweet Spot for people who want their actions to have a positive global impact while having the flexibility to do it in their own way.Across Logitech we empower collaboration and foster play.
