Overview and Background Smurfit Westrock is looking for someone to join its Group Talent team in the role of Learning Coordinator. The successful candidate will report to the Group Director Learning and Development and will work with a fantastic team of talent and learning professionals who are based around the world.
Our team is focused on the design and execution of people-centred talent and learning programs and processes across the employee lifecycle ensuring that the organisation and the people within it can reach their full potential. We build new and develop existing talent management processes and learning interventions to support our business as we continue to grow. We work closely with our HR teams regionally and in country to achieve these goals.

About the role This Learning and Development Coordinator role is pivotal to the success of the team as we evolve our Smurfit Westrock (SW) Academy to support the needs of our people and our business today and for the future.
The role will be primarily responsible for coordinating all Group SW Academy training and development programs; scheduling and supporting internal subject matter experts and vendors and managing the participant learning experience to maximise their development opportunities. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues in Talent and local HR to help shape the design, development, and adoption of group wide solutions.
Key Deliverables for the role are as follows: Coordinate SW Academy Calendar.Responsible for coordinating all SW Academy programmes; scheduling & liaising with speakers, booking and preparing training facilities, evening events, hotel rooms etc. Managing all logistics.Establishing systems and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all programmes.Managing budget and all invoicing etc. related to the SW Academy.Manage the online and virtual experience for all SW Academy programmes.Using new technologies to support the experience of our SW Academy participants, support the development and delivery of relevant content and high-quality learning resources to ensure high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes in an online environment.Talent and Development Projects Involvement in additional projects within the Talent and Leadership Development team and the broader HR team as required.
HR Data Management Data management for all Group Learning and Development programmes & initiatives. Responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.
To be successful in this role you will General Education: Business or social sciences education.2 Years work experience post education.HR experience is an advantage but not essential. An interest in HR and learning and development is essential.Experience in using technology to enhance business outcomes is an advantage.Experience working on own initiative, with multiple deliverables and a high attention to detail.Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
