Securitas Security Services are currently recruiting for a Legal Counsel position.

The Legal Counsel Representative will be responsible for the legal organization within the Country and the management.
They will report to the Country President Securitas Ireland and for functional responsibilities to Services Europe's General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities: Handling the day-to-day legal matters as well as compliance matters within the Country such as the following: Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts (customer contracts as well as supplier contracts, internal service agreements) Compliance with specific laws: anti-trust laws, GDPR, … HR-legal matters Advise on litigation matters Creating processes for making sure that the relevant matters are escalated to legal.
As part of Country Management creating a structure to make sure that the right questions are elevated to the Country Management Team within the areas of legal.
Organizing the compliance with group/divisional legal policies, including reporting, preparation/follow-up of audits and training.
The legal aspects of M & A and divestiture activities for the Country (with Divisional/Group legal) and on the creation of an appropriate corporate structure.
Corporate governance and the processes within the country and communication to Division/Group.
The oversight and management of the work performed by any external legal resources working in the Country.
Coordinating legal risks within the Enterprise Risk Management process.
Providing advice on the Company policies (HR, commercial, corporate governance).
Creating processes for making sure that the relevant matters are escalated and reported to the GC.
Giving legal advice/support to the Divisional legal team in matters governed by the laws of the Country that are applicable.
Providing advice on new and emerging tech-based service lines.
Manage, review and update standard contracts for existing and new services.
Providing ad hoc legal support and advice to the company.
Requirements: Qualified Irish Solicitor Excellent knowledge of local laws (in particular laws relevant to the business) Beneficial to also have advanced legal training in international, cross-border matters Managerial or business or financial training would be an advantage Understanding of services/construction industry Experience – Essential 3-6 PQE, but all levels will be considered Experience from working in an in-house legal department or equivalent (e.g.
law firm experience) Commercial Contract Experience The work requires an interest in working in a competitive business environment and an ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, working closely with business functions inside as well as outside the country.
