Legal Insurance Underwriter

Legal Insurance Underwriter Ireland, Dublin (Hybrid) We are exclusively working with a market-leading legal insurance provider who is looking to hire a Legal Insurance Underwriter to join their team in Dublin, Ireland, reporting into the team's Underwriting Director, who is a seasoned veteran in this field.
You would be joining the flourishing business at an exciting time as they are in the midst of expanding their reach into Ireland, and you will be involved in assisting its expansion. Culturally, the company embodies a progressive mindset which has instilled a friendly and collegiate working environment.
The main focus will be based around evaluating a wide range of cases, including Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, and Commercial for litigation costs insurance purposes, whilst also building and maintaining relationships with solicitor firms across Ireland. This role includes some travelling to visit and audit clients within Ireland, depending on your appetite.
The right candidate will be someone who can demonstrate relationship building and management skills and experience with clients. You must also understand how law firms work and ideally have worked in one.
This role will suit two types of candidates:
Minimum 1-year PQE Irish qualified Lawyer with a focus on contentious/litigation work looking to apply their legal technical knowledge in a different environment.Minimum 2 years Qualified Underwriter with pertinent experience in ATE legal insurance.This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious qualified lawyer who wants to see the back of billable hours and long nights and have an impact in growing a new offering!
