Lending Manager - Credit Union - south Co. DublinOur client, a large community credit union in south Co. Dublin, is seeking to recruit a Lending Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead and continue the development of the lending function of one of the largest community-based credit unions in Ireland, with assets of €300 million and 60 employees, providing for the financial needs of its members in a co-operative and professional manner.
The RoleReporting to the CEO, the Lending Manager is responsible for the ongoing successful delivery of the lending goals of the credit union. As such, the Lending Manager will provide leadership and oversight of the key lending functions including:
Consumer credit, mortgages and SME lendingLending compliance and policy developmentDevelopment of lending products and servicesDevelopment of new lending opportunities (working alongside the Business Development Manager)Management and leadership of the lending team, to include performance management and trainingThe Lending Manager will be a key leader for the credit union and a member of the management team. He/she will foster positive relationships with the CEO and the senior management team and ensure alignment and delivery on the strategic and operational goals, compliance and regulatory requirements, and the ongoing development of excellence in services to members, and growth of the credit union's lending offerings. The Lending Manager will be an excellent people leader.
The PersonThe ideal person will have an established and proven track-record of success in lending preferably within the financial services, banking, fintech, or credit union sectors. He/she will have had a journey to senior management and a breadth and diversity of experience to be able to lead as Lending Manager of the credit union.

The ideal person will have experience in some of the following areas in the financial services sector:
Senior level lending managementExperience in mortgagesCompliance in financial servicesLending products and services developmentChange managementPeople leadershipSome SME lending experience is desirable but not essential.
The person will:Have the commercial, operational and senior level management ability to lead lending at this level in a large community-based credit unionHave excellent leadership and management skillsHave the ability to build successful relationships with:The CEO and senior management teamThe lending teamVendors/business partners and all internal and external stakeholdersBe comfortable and tuned in to the ethos and values of a community-based credit unionHave the ambition, drive, and energy to take the credit union forward in their areas of responsibilityHave a really strong member service ethosHave the personal skills to engage as required at Board level.Salary & BenefitsThe Credit union will offer generous pay and benefits including salary, pension, and other benefits commensurate with the role and benchmarked with the market. Salary is negotiable, DOE and in line with the size of the credit union.
Contract & HoursThis is a full-time, permanent contract.

Flexibility in working hours will be essential, as the Lending Manager may be required to attend out of normal working hours Board and sub-committee meetings and represent the Credit union at appropriate events.
LocationThe role is based in south Co. Dublin.
Hybrid/Working from HomeDue to the nature of the role, the requirement is to work on-site at the credit union office. Only occasional WFH is facilitated.
