About the role Energia have an exciting opportunity for a Lighting Designer based in Dublin.
You will be a part of Energia's Lighting Solutions team. Energia Lighting Solutions provide a full turnkey service to Energia's commercial customers.
The role involves visiting customer sites and providing them with a new energy efficient lighting design to replace their current inefficient luminaires using best-in-class products. Dialux Evo is central to our design process and is used on all lighting projects to ensure Energia's customers are provided with a first-class product offering.
Projects will range from small SMEs such as retail or office premises to some of our largest customers such as manufacturing facilities.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities Day-to-day, here's what your new role would look like:
• Liaise with customers ranging from SMEs to large industrial facilities to determine their lighting and Solar PV requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Define requirements for lighting and solar projects and interact with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and contractors
• Recommend alternatives to proposed projects for cost savings or improvements.
• Prepare detailed lighting designs for projects, based on customers' requests.
• Prepare lighting cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Procedures and Standards.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of projects.
• Assist with improving the quality of products offered to customers.
• Look for opportunities to introduce new products.
• Participate in innovation and strategy development workshops / programmes and develop product offerings that arise from the outputs.
Our key criteria These are the qualifications, experience, skills, or knowledge you must have:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
• 2 or more years of formal experience in lighting and electrical designs.
• Advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices (Safe Electric, CIBSE, IS-3217).
• Experience of preparing written specifications and contract documents.
• Experience using Dialux Evo or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Full clean driving licence.
Our desirable criteria These help decide between talent who meet all the essential criteria:

• Certification of emergency lighting designs.
• Portfolio of lighting projects with verifiable references.
• Safe Pass.
• Knowledge of Solar PV design.
