Litigation Consultant (12 month FTC) Dublin 3 onsite with some travel The primary focus of this role is to support clients Workplace Relations Commission complaints and Labour Court appeal papers.
You will take ownership of each case and be responsible for drafting responses, visiting clients, preparing cases for hearing and representing clients at both face to face and remote hearings whist managing all administrative work associated with the cases.

Responsibilities: Review all claims brought against clients in the employment tribunal bodies, specifically the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour CourtSupport clients with mediation / conciliation matters in the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour CourtMake early and prompt contact with clients to notify the client of conduct of the case and to advise and take instructions from clientsVisit clients as required to include offsite at their premises/offices throughout IrelandAdvise clients on the merits of any claim(s) and the prospects of successfully defending claimsObtain all relevant and necessary documentation and draft appropriate responses on behalf of clients for their approvalPrepare hearing booklets or documents in the appropriate or agreed format in preparation for hearingIdentify witnesses and liaise with witnesses, where requiredCorrespond with the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court, claimants' representatives, and clientsTo regularly review cases and provide updates as requiredPrepare and complete all administrative tasks associated with your casesRequirements: Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or HR professional with significant hands-on exposure to Irish Employment LawStrong organisational and administrative skillsSelf-motivated and able to work on own initiativeHave an approachable and diplomatic mannerDemonstrate commercialityAble to influence and motivate othersAble to work as part of an extended teamFor more information, please contact Lee Doheny for a confidential discussion.
