Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine at Cork University Hospital.

Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council required.

This post is "Frailty at the Front Door" Consultant post, based in CUH ED, as part of the integrated care programme for the older person, leading an interdisciplinary service which runs in parallel with the emergency department and inpatient teams, identifying and managing frailty syndromes in frail older adults presenting to ED. 

On call for Geriatric and Stroke medicine 1:12, Consults weekly, weekly outpatients, student teaching, doctor in training supervision and participation and attendance at weekly stroke, geriatric medicine and general medical teaching. 

There is no general internal medicine on call.

Required Immediately for inital 6 month contract.
