Logistics Manager / Dublin West Our client is an environmentally aware organisation seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all Logistics Operations. To ensure the delivery of corporate targets, objectives and align the department and operations to the business's strategic growth targets.
To ensure that an effective and efficient commercial and operating model is established, commissioned, tested and operated with and by our partners. The Role: Drafting and revising contracts, ensuring any addendums are written and signed as and when required – protecting the interests of the company Ensuring that all contracts pertaining to Logistics Operations are accurate, and relevant documentation is correct and updated when necessary Ensuring all SOPs, policies, procedures and risk matrices are up to date and relevant for the activities being undertaken by the department Staying abreast of changing legislation or industry standards to ensure practices remain fit for purpose Ensuring all Business Continuity Approaches are reviewed, monitored and updated no less than once per annum, or as and when the operation changes. Ensure partners deliver their operational and commercial commitments Ensuring all 3rd party insurances and licences are in date / remain valid throughout the contract term Auditing contractual activity to drive / validate accurate partner reporting and actioning any penalties (if contracted) for non-compliance to contractual standards Conducting in person audits of activities and operations to ensure alignment to and standards Resolve issues and ensure compliance with all required regulations and rules Building and maintaining good relationships with clients and suppliers, using a partnership approach Corresponding with both external and internal stakeholders to appraise and document all activities Compiling and delivering presentations for the board producing monthly updates or, as and when required Develop a suite of business appropriate KPIs to manage all logistics operations, completing trend analysis on historical data and establishing future projections on performance Identify ways to increase efficiency and improve productivity via KPI monitoring and continuous improvement approaches Collecting and collating data for forecasting, planning and budgetary purposes Ensuring that performance targets are met and that operational and commercial improvement and innovation programmes are introduced Develop plans to fit the schedule of works required for new Logistics and operational activity – ensuring the operating model is fit for purpose, fully tested and integrated with other stakeholders and systems Reviewing the 3 year and 5-year strategy to determine what activities (if any) should be brought in house or outsourced – and manage the change appropriately Work with partners to identify and implement contract and performance improvements Lead on evolution and transformation of the partnership, for example to take on additional materials, embrace new technology, or implement transformative performance improvements The Candidate: Degree educated or qualified by experience Ideally experience in either FMCG, drinks sector, waste or recycling industry A track record of working in a similar role which encompasses: Negotiation of complex contracts for operations partnerships Design and Delivery of logistics operations Membership of a relevant professional body Experience in all relevant legislation and compliance rules in logistics and waste management Builds and maintains constructive working relationships Financial Acumen Excellent written communication skills - able to confidently communicate at all levels both internally and externally Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and able to see projects through to the end Energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to act on own initiative Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and gain influence Send CV to Carol at Executive Edge
