Logistics Operations Manager / Waste Sector – Dublin West Our client is seeking a highly experienced Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and manage the transportation, disposal, recycling of the entire logistics process.  Ensure efficiency, cost-effective, and compliant with environmental and regulatory standards.  Salary: €80K – €100K plus benefits. The Role: Overseeing the planning of projects and ensuring that they are programmed to a certain level of detail Making sure that the procurement and reconciliation of materials are executed accordingly and accurately Examining and/or assessing risks and coming up with suggestions and recommendations through which they can be minimized Meeting and liaising with clients, companies, vendors, and/or contractors to communicate and negotiate contract terms Supervising funds and/or payments and ensuring that they are well-utilized and managed Handling the writing and editing of contracts between companies and potential clients Leading negotiation with a client once the contract has been written Actively monitor legislation and regulations to make sure that contracts are current and in compliance. Partner with recycling facilities to ensure proper disposal or recycling of waste. Ensure all waste operations comply with relevant environmental and health and safety standards. Prepare and submit necessary documentation and reporting. Develop and manage budgets for transportation and waste management operations. Implement cost-saving initiatives, such as optimizing routes, reducing fuel consumption, and improving overall process efficiency. Monitor and control logistics costs while maintaining service quality and regulatory compliance. Communicate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate collection and disposal Address customer concerns or service issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions. Regularly update clients concerning performance, diversion rates, and sustainability goals. Track and analyze waste streams, collection efficiency, and sustainability efforts. Develop reports for management on operational performance, KPIs, and financials. Use data to identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency or cost management. Reviewing and development strategic improvement plan Your Profile: Third level qualification & ambition to further progress career Proven experience in logistics operations at management level ideally in waste management or related sectors (recycling, circular economy etc) Excellent strategic and financial acumen Strong leadership with commercial drive Ability to clearly communicate with clients, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
