Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Logistics Specialists to join our Data Center team. As a Logistics Specialist you will take part in our Work-Based Learning Program (WBLP) in a Frankfurt Data Center.
As a trainee, you will participate in our 3-month work and training program. This position will help ensure overall availability and reliability for our customers within our Data Centres in Frankfurt. Upon successful completion, you will have the opportunity to apply for full-time or part-time positions, provided there are open roles available, and if you would like to join our team permanently.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key Responsibilities:Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demandHandle incoming shipments, including unpacking boxes, performing checks and system updates to material tracking databasesReceive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and EngineersKeep accurate records of material movementsMonitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activitiesOperate Return Merchandise Authorization process and receive replacementsAssist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from various locationsKeep precise records of all commodities going in and out of companyAdhere to strict safety standards and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspacesFrequent lifting of materials and products, placing items in storage, managing parts in shelving and pallet locations, extracting and moving parts from site specific areas.This role is full-time (40 hours/week). As a Logistics Specialist you will be required to travel to multiple sites as part of daily operations.
