Job DescriptionDue to ongoing expansion within Carron + Walsh we are looking for a suitable candidate with a mix of Public and Private sector project experience for the position of Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveyor in our Dublin or Waterford offices. The successful Candidate will undertake M&E Quantity Surveying duties independently whilst reporting to our Management Team in the deliveryof these projects.
Typical duties may include:
Preparation of Development Budgets and Feasibility AppraisalsImplementation of Value EngineeringPreparation of tender documentation incl. Bills of Quantities (ARM4 & ARM4 Supplement 2)Analysis of tender returnsPreparation of contract documents and administration of Building & Civil Engineering Conditions of ContractOperation of Carron + Walsh Cost Management SystemCompliance with Carron + Walsh ISO Certified Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management SystemsPreparing Payment RecommendationsAgreement of Compensation CostsThe ideal candidates would have the following qualifications and traits:
Chartered or working towards chartership, with a B.Sc. in Quantity SurveyingLevel 9 Post Graduate Certificate in M&E Quantity Surveying or B.Eng. in M&E Engineering3+ years M&E experienceAbility to work proactively within project teamsCommercially and contractually focusedTechnical knowledge of M&E installations with ability to identify, critically appraise/evaluate, measure, and describe M&E installations for cost estimating and the preparation of tender documentsAn attractive package is available for the right candidate, coupled with an opportunity to grow within the Practice, facilitated by our career progression model.
