Machine Operator

ResponsibilitiesThe Machine Operative will be responsible for operating various machines and workstations within the cutting hall and/or cutting hall steelyards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Operating and understanding the control functions of the machines and workstations.Using cranes & lifting equipment for handling and moving steel parts.Using and complying with necessary documentation/drawings/Q-Gates and production control systems.Ensuring quality checks are done to produce quality parts and completing necessary records.Forward planning tasks and tools required for continuous and efficient workflow.Being flexible to be trained on different machines and workstations and move between machines as needed.Ensuring good housekeeping and a clean work environment.Carrying out all work safely and wearing appropriate PPE.Performing other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications Requirements and Experience• Manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of and understanding of engineering drawings.
• Previous experience in operating machines, steel cutting, plasma cutting, and using a gas torch.
• Experience in using lifting equipment and cranes is desirable.
• Must be available to work rotating shifts from 06:30 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 23:30 every week.
