Role Overview They are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on a variety of industrial equipment.
The role involves ensuring the reliability and performance of plant operations, focusing on equipment maintenance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is ideal for a time-served electrician with experience in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities: * Carry out maintenance activities on electrical equipment, including instrumentation, PLCs, and Variable Speed Drives, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
* Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with site policies and procedures.
* Complete and review planned maintenance routines using the MAXIMO maintenance system.
* Accurately record all maintenance activities in MAXIMO.
* Minimise equipment downtime by providing fast response and effective root cause analysis.
* Analyse and address recurring equipment issues to improve reliability.
* Monitor and manage the use of spare parts.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for equipment and processes.
Skills & Qualifications: * Time-served Electrician with QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical or equivalent.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in an industrial setting.
* Experience with mechanical and electrical process plant maintenance in an industrial environment (5 years preferred).
* Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and Profibus communication protocols.
* Familiarity with ABB Variable Speed Drives and ATEX zoned areas.
* Proficient in SCADA process control systems for diagnostics and fault analysis.
* Proficiency in using information systems like Email and Microsoft Office.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety statutory requirements.
Benefits: * Competitive salary: €50,000 - €55,000 * On call daily rate - €20 per day whilst on call in addition to the following overtime rates: Standard Rate € 33.41/h After 12 midnight: € 44.56/h Sundays and bank holidays: € 44.56/h * Monday-Thursday 07:30 am - 4:00 pm, Friday 07:30 am - 3:00 pm * Pension scheme * 23 days annual leave + bank holidays * Performance-related bonus * Funded professional and safety training (e.g., MEWP, First Aid, Manual Handling, Safe Pass) Application Process: We aim to respond to all applicants within 5 working days.
