We have an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our site in Poppintree, Ballymun, Dublin.
This role will oversee and enhance the maintenance function to achieve excellence in safety, performance, and workforce management through established core metrics.
This position will be responsible for managing a small team and reports directly to the Factory Manager.
**As this site is operating 24/7 flexibility is essential for this role** Key Responsibilities: Maintain the Kepak Maintenance System to ensure optimal performance and 24/7 coverage.
Lead and nurture the Maintenance team in collaboration with the Site Manager and HR to foster a high-performing culture.
Drive recruitment and development initiatives, ensuring effective succession planning.
Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, material expenditures, and annual service contracts.
Uphold the principle that all equipment is maintained to meet or exceed manufacturer quality standards.
Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure that the factory layout and maintenance practices adhere to good manufacturing standards.
Utilize site resources for collaborative improvements in overall performance.
Supervise the quality and safety of onsite contractors.
Coordinate with the Group Project Function on capital projects and communicate Maintenance requirements effectively.
Champion Continuous Improvement processes within the Maintenance function.
Ensure compliance with all HSE, BRC, and legal record-keeping requirements.
Oversee training for all maintenance staff to promote skill development.
Manage the engineering department with a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM) for all equipment.
Requirements Proven leadership and managerial skills in cross-functional teams Prior experience working in a GMP/ Manufacturing environment Solid understanding of the Meat Industry, its equipment and services is beneficial Proficiency in Lean methodologies and project management Previous experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
