Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager at their Wastewater Treatment location just outside Bray.
The ideal candidate is someone with a solid technical background in wastewater treatment and a proven track record in team management and operations within a heavy industry setting.
The candidate should be proactive, with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Core Duties: Lead and manage a team of 12 staff members, covering both operations and maintenance.Deliver monthly reports to the Plant Manager, and provide immediate updates during critical situations.Maintain strict adherence to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and the plant's Standard and Maintenance Operating Procedures (SOPs & MSOPs).Supervise plant shutdowns, coordinate with external contractors, and guide the maintenance team to ensure smooth and uninterrupted plant operations.Ensure effective use of asset management software.Oversee both routine and urgent maintenance work.Oversee the plant's health and safety protocols, with a potential focus on implementing ISO 45001 accreditation.Submit monthly health and safety reports.Manage operational expenses and introduce measures to enhance cost-efficiency.Oversee the Odour Control System and related monitoring devices.Qualifications and Experience: 5-10 years of management experience within the water/wastewater treatment field or a related industrial sector.Strong background in maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, gas generators, aerators, and SCADA/PLC systems.Educational background in mechanical or electrical trades, or a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.Demonstrated ability to manage staff and handle HR responsibilities.Willingness to be on call for emergencies and assist with remote troubleshooting when necessary.Strong skills in organization, analysis, and problem-solving.Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively direct and motivate the team.
