Hotel Maintenance Manager – Clayton Hotel Burlington Road We have a fantastic new vacancy for Hotel Maintenance Manager in the excellent Clayton Hotel Burlington Road.
Located 30 minutes from Dublin International Airport and a 15-minute walk from St Stephen's Green, our iconic Conference hotel caters for up to 1200 delegates with 20 supporting meeting rooms and 502 guest bedrooms.
Objective of the Role Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the property is maintained to the highest possible standards. You will be professional, enthusiastic and trustworthy. You will demonstrate excellent team leading abilities as well as the initiative required to multi-task in this busy environment.
Main Duties Supervise and provide general maintenance. Supervise plumbers, electricians and other outside contractors to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard and the place of work is returned to order complying with all Health & Safety regulations. Manage any on-site contractors for any Capex projects. Management of the team, including rosters & holidays. Establish a duty manager SOP guide for any maintenance or health and safety issues that may arise in the absence of maintenance and be responsible for the full training of Duty Managers on this SOP. Reactively alter procedures and fix any procedures because of any reported incidents in order to reduce risk and prevent this incident from reoccurring. Monitor utilities and proactively source more energy-efficient resolutions. Set a good example for your team regarding application to work, work attitude, personal presentation, punctuality, and attendance. Ideal Candidate will have: Excellent work history from the maintenance sector in large properties (2-3 years ideally) Previous management experience managing a team Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and be standards driven An excellent knowledge of Fire, Health and Safety Great relationship-building skills with other heads of departments. Flexibility in day-to-day job demands, remaining focused when priorities and practices change.
