Maintenance Team Manager Salary: €55k plus 25% shift allowance

The role: In the fleet maintenance department, the Maintenance Team Manager is accountable for delivering the daily LRV maintenance. He/She manages a team of technicians during a shift to drive performance of the workshop while respecting delay, quality, and safety to ensure the availability of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities: Organizing the shift with the available technicians to achieve the plan produced by the daily planner. Ensuring the production of the day is completed by regularly monitoring the activity of the team and providing clear short-term production objectives to each team member. Making decisions on priority by adjusting the work plan relative to headcount and/or resource availability. Leading Start of Shift Brief, Mid Shift Brief, and End of Shift Brief following the depot managers' guidelines. Organizing a team meeting once or twice a month to manage the team: KPI, staff issues, training, company situation, etc. Realizing a clear handover for the next shift using the company's tools. Ensuring effective communication with the team regarding procedures, safety, staff issues, new HR rules, and necessary paperwork. Ensuring the team applies safety rules inside the workshop (PPI, LOTO, workwear, etc.). Managing the basic Annual Leave and Absence tracker of the team in line with HR processes and recording the required data in the IT systems (transit 9, CMMS, etc.). Managing absenteeism and performance issues in line with HR practices for the team. Providing support across the business when needed. Participating in the MST's development in the depot, including technical and personal development, and overseeing annual reviews for all team members. Leading quality surveys of all paperwork and work orders to ensure they are properly filled out and completed. Ensuring the onboarding and offboarding process for each new team member and clear follow-up during the probation period. Requirements: Technical or Business qualification is required. Minimum five years' experience working in a technical company. Management/supervisory experience is a plus. Strong working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety and Environmental legislation is a plus. Knowledge and experience of Tram systems (or other rolling stock) is recommended. ICT skills with good knowledge of maintenance management systems and MS Office. Experience working in a manufacturing or maintenance environment on a shift basis. Location: The job will be in one of the 3 depots. Travel to the other two depots, from time to time, is to be expected. Work Schedule: On shift 7 days a week, Night and day following roster (39h/week contract).
On-call and emergency: On-call or emergency work is to be considered 1 week per month. An on-call planning will be organized with the other MTM and the depot manager. Job type: Full-Time, Permanent
