Maintenance Technician - Electrician

Our client, an international facilities management group, is looking to hire a maintenance Technician to look after a site in D1. This is a site-based position. If you have had enough of spending more time on the road and traveling, this would be ideal for you.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and dynamic individual with an electrical trade background and will work as part of a maintenance team. Candidates must have hands-on experience in dealing with planned preventative maintenance and fault finding.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintenance Technician (Electrical)Planned preventative maintenance of Electrical systemsComplete all site lighting repairs and replacementsReactive repairs ensuring minimum downtime on equipmentMeet service level agreements and respond to emergency breakdowns across the siteEnsure all QHSE requirements are fulfilled prior to work commencingSpecify and order materials as needed for works and ensure stock levels of critical spares are kept updatedProblem solving ensuring a solution for all required repairs in a timely mannerLiaise with helpdesk, management, and customers with updates on a daily basisSupervise subcontractors onsite to ensure a comprehensive contractor management system, including H&SPositively and actively contribute to and participate in continuous improvement activities in the teamWorking as part of a team on multi-disciplined projectsHigh standard of housekeeping, material handling, and safety at all timesCertification and experience in IS3217 Emergency light testing desirablePerson Specification Trade qualified Electrician with at least 3 years' experienceMust be client-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHave experience in completing and operating to method statements, risk assessments, Safe Plans of Actions, and Permits associated with their work activitiesHave completed H&S trainingAbility to work on own initiativeAbility to complete paperwork and reportsEnthusiastic approach to workNeat appearance and mannerAbility to work professionally within client premisesIT literacy an advantage, Word, Excel, Microsoft Office desirableAn attractive permanent role with a salary circa 50k, optional overtime, and a great package of benefits.
