Maintenance Technician

The 4-star Ardilaun Hotel is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join the team.
Their primary responsibility is to ensure that the hotel's facilities are well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for both guests and staff, while efficiently addressing and fixing any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks including repairs, painting and grouting, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and carpentry.
Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests for maintenance services, ensuring minimal disruption to their stay.
Ensure that all equipment (e.g., lifts, lighting, heating) is functioning properly and carry out preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
Handle basic repairs such as fixing door locks, unclogging drains, replacing lightbulbs, and maintaining fixtures.
Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, keeping maintenance records up to date.
Conduct regular inspections of all areas of the hotel (guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, exterior areas) to identify issues requiring repair or maintenance.
Assist with the upkeep of swimming pools, gym facilities, and other hotel amenities.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations when necessary, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts to ensure all essential materials are readily available.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth functioning of hotel operations.
Provide on-call support for emergency repairs and maintenance tasks during evenings, weekends, or holidays when needed.
Requirements: Proven experience in maintenance roles, ideally within hospitality or similar environments.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Physically fit and able to perform labor-intensive tasks, such as lifting.
Excellent communication skills for working with staff, guests, and external contractors.
Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment related to maintenance and repair tasks.
Understanding of health and safety regulations, with the ability to apply them in daily work.
