Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated and semi-automated assembly and test equipment on a busy production floor.
The equipment primarily consists of IT/OT infrastructure, electronic devices, mechanical assemblies, and electrical systems.ResponsibilitiesEstablish Theories: Work through a logical troubleshooting process to develop potential causes of the failure.Test Theories: Test each theory in a controlled manner to determine the actual root cause(s).Implement Final Fix: Once the root cause is identified, implement a permanent fix to restore the equipment to its normal operating mode, ensuring it meets agreed standards.Prevent Recurrence: Work proactively to ensure that the failure does not occur again by identifying and addressing underlying issues.Record and Report: Document all relevant information and updates in the central Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for future reference and reporting.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues across mechanical, electronic, and IT/OT domains, including equipment malfunctions, electronic faults, system connectivity problems, and network failures.IT/OT Systems Integration: Install, configure, and maintain IT/OT infrastructure, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), vision systems, HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), industrial control networks, and communication systems.Mechanical Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems, including drives, guarding, pneumatic circuits, and conveyor systems.Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to protect equipment longevity, safety, and reliability.Safety and Compliance: Adhere to company-specific guidelines and industry standards, ensuring compliance with mechanical, electronic, and electrical safety regulations.
