Role Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in ensuring that production equipment remains in top working condition. You'll be an integral part of the production team, working collaboratively to meet and exceed our production goals.
Key Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance: Perform maintenance on production process equipment, including breakdown repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance, and day-to-day troubleshooting.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement projects aimed at enhancing the operating efficiency of equipment.Facility Upkeep: Provide maintenance support for buildings, utilities, and related systems as needed.Safety Culture: Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all maintenance activities.Proactive Maintenance: Engage in a maintenance and reliability program focused on preventive and predictive measures rather than reactive maintenance.Equipment Setup: Handle setup and changeover of production equipment according to required formats.Area Responsibility: Take ownership of specific production lines, areas, or the engineering workshop, including managing spare parts stocks.GMP Compliance: Adhere to GMP work procedures and ensure accurate documentation as required by the quality manual.Maintenance Logs: Complete and maintain equipment and maintenance logs.Spare Parts Management: Monitor stock levels, order and store materials, and manage the receipt and issuance of materials.Training: Complete training records as required.Qualifications & Experience: Electrical Maintenance Background: National Trade Certificate in Electrical Qualification is required. A mix of electrical and mechanical skills is highly advantageous.Industry Experience: 3-5 Years of Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is essential.Technical Expertise: Experience in electro-mechanical repairs on a PLC-controlled manufacturing plant, handling and packing equipment, and pneumatic control systems.Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, both independently and as part of a team.Team Collaboration: A team player with a willingness to support and guide colleagues.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Specialized Experience: Experience with form and fill seal machines is crucial; PLC & HMI programming and electrical & pneumatic panel building are also beneficial.What we offer: Location: North Co.
